2024 Routes

For 2024, you have a choice of five distances. All routes are marked with both on-pavement and above-ground signage, as well as SAG support in the event of a mechanical issue. All routes pass at least one rest stop where you can refill water and/or Gatorade and enjoy some snacks.

Links to RideWithGPS files will be provided closer to the event.

12-Mile Family Route

The 12-mile Family Route is the perfect choice for a leisurely ride, offering a scenic and enjoyable biking experience on the Heritage Route 66 Bike Trail for families or anyone seeking a shorter adventure. Your ride starts at the Sherman Athletic Center and then follows the bike trail to a rest stop in Williamsville Community Park. You will return the same way. The bike trail is mostly flat and shady.

Up to 4 family members can sign up under one registration for the Family Route. Each member receives lunch after the ride.  Please note that you will receive one bib and that the Family Route is not chip timed.

20-Mile Route

The 20-mile route is a nice option if you want more than a ride up the bike trail. You’ll start out on the bike trail but turn off with the other routes and take a short ride on low-trafficked country roads. After a stop at the Williamsville Park rest stop, you’ll hop back on the Heritage Route 66 Bike Trail and return to the Sherman Athletic Center.

40-Mile Route

The 40-mile route starts out on the bike trail but turn off with the other routes and follows country roads.   After a stop at the Williamsville Park rest stop, you’ll cross the interstate at Williamsville and make a loop to the next rest stop at Elkhart before returning to the Sherman Athletic Center.

The Metric Century – 62-Mile Route

This starts out on the bike trail, and then ventures out on country roads, passing through Williamsville Park rest stop. You’ll cross the interstate at Williamsville and swing north to Middletown for the second rest stop before heading south to the Elkhart rest stop and then returning to the Sherman Athletic Center. Expect some moderate hills in the northern part of this course.

The Century – 100-Mile Route

The century route follows the 62-mile course and then you’ll complete a loop north of Middletown before continuing on to the Elkhart rest stop and back to the  Sherman Athletic Center. Expect some moderate hills in the northern part of this course.
